Person-Centred Planning Training

What is Person-Centred Planning?

Person-centred planning is about listening to what really matters to someone—and building support around that. It’s not about ticking boxes or fitting people into systems. It’s about asking good questions, really hearing the answers, and helping people take steps towards the life they want.

This training is practical, hands-on, and rooted in real experiences. It gives people the tools and confidence to work in ways that are thoughtful, respectful, and led by the individual.

What’s in the Training?

  • Everyday routines, preferences, and support needs—all captured in a way that helps people feel seen and understood.

  • A visual way to explore dreams, goals, and what needs to happen next. It’s creative, hopeful, and grounded in action.

  • Working with people, not for them. This approach is about shared decision-making and equal voices.

  • Using drawings and visuals to make planning more engaging, especially for people who don’t connect easily with words.

What to Expect

Our Person-Centred Planning Training is all about working in ways that truly put people first. We explore practical, creative tools like Essential Lifestyle Planning, PATH & Futures Planning, Co-Production, and Graphic Facilitation—approaches that help people express what matters most to them and shape their own lives.

It’s ideal for anyone involved in supporting people with learning disabilities or complex needs—whether you’re part of a housing team, a care provider, a social worker, a family member, or someone with lived experience. You don’t need to be an expert, just open to doing things a bit differently.

We offer everything from one-off workshops to tailored sessions for teams, either in person or online. If you'd like to see the full list of sessions we offer, you can download it below. Or just get in touch—we’re happy to talk it through and help find something that works for you.
